It doesn't really matter anyway, what does is that toyrover can see it and place his order :coffeedrink:

Lid mounted

Thanks to Eric, I finally got a lid for my M101 trailer. Pick up in Canada was painless.

I picked up my lid a few weeks back, but had a big bike ride last weekend so I didn't get around to installing it until this weekend.

It worked out well. Ordered the hardware I needed from McMaster-Carr.

I opted to install a Thule roof rack on the lid to accommodate bikes & other miscellaneous items on the lid. I don't have any intention of installing a RTT any time soon, but always need additional carrying capacity.

I still need to finish mounting the strut to hold it open. I discovered that the strut I ordered from M-C has a wider diameter so I've got some interference issues with how I wanted to mount it. I've got a bracket on order to fix that.

I'm still deciding if I'm going to paint the trailer to match the Jeep. It'll have to be sometime after I get back from our week long off-roading trip to Alabama & South Carolina next month.

Installed a bulb seal from M-C as well to be able to seal the compartment.

One of the members of my local jeep club made a custom rear bumper for the trailer as well. I wanted some way to be able to mount a cooler rack or other items on the back of the trailer as well.

I have one left, but the inside frame welding are not to my liking, so i was thinking of keeping it for me. We were having some welding equipment issue on that first one. The lids integrity and strength is not affected, just that welding esthetic are not too good. But the corner weld of the lids are ok (the one you see outside to weld the corners.

G&S cruiser part bought 2 and was asking if i was going to do more. I'm ready to fab some more only if i have 5 sold.

What did you use for the tracks and foot pack on your lid? It looks like a great set up

Also what size bulb seal did you use?

Rails & Rack on M101 lid

All of the pieces are made by Thule. (www.thule.com)

The rails are either the TB60. I believe they have a few lengths and you can shorten them if needed.
The feet are Tracker IIs (#430) with the TK1 base.

You can choose what length cross bars you want. I own a variety from all the years and different vehicles I've put Thule racks on.

I put the same rails on my Jeep's hard top so I can use the rack in either place.
