I was wondering if anybody makes a loft shackle for the montero sport. Mine is a 99 with rear leaf springs.

I did a search only one build thread popped up.

If you can't find any premade to your specs any quality 4wd fab shop can easily make a set to your specs. You may need to correct pinion angle if you experience driveline vibration.

Summit Racing makes some for a Toyota p/u that should give you 2" of lifts. Mid 80's

What about an add a leaf. Just looking for options. Dont want to do a body lift.

do a body lift. jap trucks arent like american trucks, the jap trucks hide their frames better and a 2" body lift will look like a stock truck for the most part. I'm sure I know all the reasons you dont want to do a body lift and I'm sure I agree with you on most of them (as applicable to most vehicles) but doing a body lift works great on these rigs.

As for add-a-leaf, i've use a cherokee stock spring from the pack, no idea which one was the correct length, but it was a 4 liter XJ that I pulled the pack from, found a spring that fit in the grouping well and slapped that in the rear of my sport, added about 1" of lift and was more work than it was worth, when the day was done I laughed at myself for not doing a simple and effective body lift.

Seen a guy using autostore bought universal shackles on his Monty Sport.
Not sure what he did to use them.
The springs are narrower then the frame mount.

Looking for that thing i just had in my hand...
Those "crack shackles" the autoparts store sells are junk, the other thing about shackles is that for a 2" shackle you only gain about an inch of lift.

As far as a spring over is concerned, you're already removing the shackles so what's another half hour of labor AND leaf perches are about $15 a pair plus another $25 for brand new U-bolts (Let's assume yours are rusted solid) and those Toyota lift shackles are about $85 the ones that you want are the fronts and they don't really fit. Also i might have some laying around that would kind of fit OK, IF i have them any more they were removed from a truck i got from a friend.
