Light bar vs spot lights.

I'm gonna try the Trucklites first. Mine are yellow right now and don't work that good.

I'm trying to get everything together for a paint job including a new driver door and fender first.

I have some amber Hella 500's along with some LED's that came with my bumper. Also have KC Daylighters (LED) going up on the roof as soon as I can find a bar to mount them. I'm wiring them this weekend, I'll post results when I can.

I bought the Hella's since I had them on a few cars and they're cheap (the amber ones were $28/ea on Amazon minus the harness/relay), bright, and look nice. The Daylighters were something I wanted on a truck since I was a kid and drove the wheels off my Tamiya Blackfoot. That purchase was purely emotional even knowing the LED bars are probably better.

I do sell the custom HID projector headlights through Vantage Optics and they are a great place to start for increased output. When adjusted correctly they do not blind people and provide nice distance lighting for comfortable driving.

For offroad lighting, I will always be partial to Baja Designs as they make very high quality lights that are miles ahead of others...even Rigid.

My personal van has the following forward-facing lights-

Vantage Optics Advanced Retrofit kit (http://www.vantageoptics.com/shop/Ford-Econoline-Projector-Advanced-Retrofit-Headlight-Kit-p70629600)
-Morimoto D2S 4.0 Projectors (custom etched lenses)
-Osram CBI Bulbs
-Panamera LED switchback shrouds
-Morimoto XB55 ballasts
-Morimoto 9007 bixenon harness
-Morimoto 3157 XV-F turn signal kit

Baja Designs-
30" onX6 bar with wide cornering lenses (amber center)
Pro XL High Speed Spot lights
S2 Pro spots mounted to Vantage Optics A-Pillar pods (http://www.vantageoptics.com/shop/V...ine-92-2014-A-Pillar-Light-Brackets-p73168518)

The light output with the Baja Designs lights on is ridiculous, but again you get what you pay for.

Thanks for posting your personal specs REDOVAL. I'll probably just duplicate that on mine. How hard is the install?

The installation of the Vantage Optics headlight kits is relatively easy with two grounds, a single battery connection and a single OEM plug interface to deal with on the wiring side. We provide instructions that show the easiest locations to mount the ballasts as well.
