Lighted Buggy Whip/CB Antenna

Has anybody had any experience in using one of these? I followed a guy who had one and his radio worked fine on the trail and having the light on the antenna at night was pretty novel and neat. It threw enough light to even use as a light for when you roll into camp and need to setup before you find the lantern!

Anyways, here's the link

The thing is that I want to have a quality setup. His worked just fine so my experience with hearing it was A+.

I have one of these on my quad (Full length lighted whip). It has held up to the abuse pretty well and you can see it miles away. They have a small light that you can add to the top of a fiberglass whip, I'm sure you could put it on an antenna.http://www.nightstalkerwhips.com/

Thanks! I'm more looking for one that has a single bright bulb on the top rather than the entire antenna lit up. It definitely looked like the one in my link, but I just wanted to be sure.

The guy hasn't written me back about where he got his.

Man does that bring back memories of being out at Glamis.

They have been used for decades. Overall they work well. Just don't leave it attached when you drive into something low. I have seen a lot of snapped off ones that way. :D
