AT has worked with SoCal Tear Drops. Really great people, a Father and Son team. The Son wheels so he would have a good understanding of what you are looking for.
As we already have a relationship with them I'd have no problem providing an AT suspension kit to them to install on your trailer. I don't know if it's feasible or not, but it may be worth the effort to find out.
I checked out both those links...real nice trailers. However, I got a little sticker shock when I saw the price for their "Rover" model is over $10K! I did a lot of research on the Adventure Trailers as well, but those are around $10K too.
Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate the time, effort, and level of craftsmanship that goes into them, but I don't have that sort of cash. I've already put in over $60K into my Jeep and there's still items left to get for the Hemi conversion (thankfully I already have the engine and tranny...just have to pick up about $7K in other parts such as the exhaust, mount, harness, etc).
The Little Guy trailer is not a "sure thing" yet. At around $5K, it was right for the price, so that's why I'm seriously considering it. I'm waiting to hear back with what they're going to be able to do as far as sponsorship goes. Since they won't be able to modify it how I want/need, if they aren't able to sponsor the WFTW program, then I'll be scraping the whole thing and will end up having to build one myself. While that would certainly be fun, is not going to be an easy task to accomplish from Iraq. I'll have to wait until I'm home in October to get it started, return to Iraq, and then hopefully complete the rest of it when I get home for good about a month before the program begins. It won't leave me much time to test it out...but, life's imperfect and I'll have to make do.
Bottom line is, whatever I get has to be hardcore to a certain degree (considering what I'll be doing) as well as somewhat comfortable because it will be my "home" for 6 months.
