agreed, that was my understanding as well.

285 / 75 on 16" wheels will fit a RR P38 with a lift and plastic fender liner trimming only and leave room for chains. Tyres of the same size from different manufacturers vary in actual height and width.

The tires are 285's they are a bit wide for my taste on a disco but they do perform very very well.... with the bumpers and slidders they actually are able to flex out and not rub anywhere what so ever so i am happy with them.
as far as sticking out..... i didnt realize it would be that bad but in a sea of drab tan and greens the bright yellow does tend to "pop"
and i did get a lot of shtick i.e. "wheres your rooftop tent?" "why dont you have ARB all over?"
but i can not complain seeing as i can go anywhere most of those rigs can go and still drive faster then 35 MPH on the HWY:ylsmoke:
the haffies were cute!
