looking at a great land cruiser

If I were to pay 9K for a 94 with 151K miles, I would expect it to at least have lockers, ARB bumper with winch, 2.5" OME lift, sliders and perhaps an after market rear bumper (minimum).
If the Cruiser is essentially stock: I might consider 9k if it just had the head gasket redone, and/or quite a bit of other preventative maintenance completed (with receipts). It better look and run damn good for 9K.
When shopping for a 1990s Land Cruiser, remember to look for the comparable Lexus model. The LX450 and LX470 have all the capability and equipment that the LC models sold by Toyota have. Lexus aims for upscale clientele, so the Lexus SUVs are more likely to have regular maintenance than the Toyotas. And, in my opinion, Lexus owners are more likely to use the SUVs as mall runners and ski cabin transport. So the vehicles are often less beat up by off-road excursions.

With a little patience and cash on hand, you should be able to snag a nice cruiser or LX for 9K.

The first one in the links is too expensive in my mind. You would actually be getting a fair deal at $9000 on the second. $8000 or less and I think it would be a screamin' deal. If you don't want all the extras though, a nice Florida LX450 mall crawler would be great.
