I don't want to be a party pooper and ruin your enthusiasm. But... Be aware that the 4wd conversion would be pretty much have to be scratch built. The only kit that is available for the 3rd gen, to my knowledge, is from Weldtec designs and it's just a lift.
Personnaly, I would save a little more cash to buy a 4th gen. You would then save a LOT of trouble and time.
I almost made that mistake by buying a Dodge Ram van Pleasure-Way... I'm so glad I bailed out of the deal and went for a Chevy!
