Looking for a 3.5L Gen 2 rear axle, open diff

Reaching out to any fellow members who have, know of, or have access to a Gen 2 open differential axle, complete. I'm going to upgrade to an ARB locker in stead of running the factory set up. Mostly due to reliability, strength, and simply a longer lasting set up. Nothing bad towards the factory lockers, it's done it's job for me, and still currently works, but the actuator assembly in mine is leaking forcing my compressor to run constantly, and soon it will eventually quit. Plus, the locker actuators in the 94-96 SR are obselete anymore.

Let me know.

Did any gen 2 SR s come with open diff? The LS has smaller axles and diffs. Something like 8 inch ring gear vs 9 (but I don't recall exactly)

All SR models came with 9.5" diffs with a locker. But 97-00 was hit and miss. All 97-00 models came with 3.5l engines, which would have given you the 9.5 inch axle. Any Gen 2.5 should have the 9.5" axle, but not all came with a locker. I'm looking for one without a locker.

I would think you would need to look at a '97 or later with the 3.5l SOHC (non SR etc) to find a rear with a 9.5" and open. Or a Sport. I do have an open 9.5" carrier from a Sport sitting in my garage that I removed the 4.9 ratio R&P. Probably won't do you any good thou without the axles etc... If you want it, pay shipping and its yours. Or pick it up (preferred).

Thanks plh, I'll let you know. Maybe someone can answer this. What are the differences between a Gen 2/2.5 with a 9.5" axle compared to a sport model 3.5l with a 9.5" axle? Obviously both coil sprung and discs.
