Looking for floor ideas

Planning my next, and hopefully last build.
E350 EB, minimalist build. Function over beauty. Definitely going to have UJOR install the under floor storage in the back.
I have seen rubber mat on top of wood. Seems like a pretty inexpensive and easy to install option.
Anyone else done this? If so, what did you put between the actual metal floor and the wood?
Looking for any and all constructive input.

Depending on what you are thinking I have some steel plates that were designed to bolt through existing seat holes and then flanged L track that would hold plywood in place I also have erwin seat sliders and coin flooring all for sale everything was fo a RB but it could be adapted. I ended up going a different direction. Also have a pair of reclining Toyota sienna seat for sale

I prefer 1/2" rigid foam (4x8' sheets) from Lowes/Home Depot with 3/4" ply over it. Adds some height but also a lot of insulation and solid surface to mount cabinets/etc. to. I have put carefully cut rubber barn stall mats in a couple of vans. Super easy to clean with a wet towel, not easy to cut and shape perfectly.

In my current van I had some leftover pergo type 1/4" vinyl (water/humidity proof) flooring from a kitchen remodel so I went that way.

Our floor is fibreglass sandwich panel. We like indoor/outdoor carpet under our feet.
A cut-to-size piece held down with velcro patches in the corners lasts for some years and is easy to pull up & shake out on the road and put through the pressure washer when you get home.

They start the floor at around 60 seconds in. Is this what you are referring to regarding the rigid foam? Van appears to have been used commercially prior to rv conversion, and floor is pretty bowed. Did you use slats/spacers between grooves before you installed rigid foam? I have never seen the rubber barn stall mats before in a van. Are they mounted, or do they just sit in there loose?

Yes, that's the rigid foam I speak of. I have seen lots of people spend lots of time and effort filling in between the ribs with all sorts of stuff. I think it's a waste of time, not only that I think it's backing up. The air space provides breathing room and foam/wood/flooring above is plenty to spread out the load. Keep in mind I have built camper vans, never one to roll a moto in or anything. I would approach differently if I needed to do something like that.

These folks had a bad floor though. I think my current floor is covered in my current van build on SMB. Page 6, post 56. Just looked. The plates and blocks you see on my ply floor were just to keep things in place before I settled on where to screw the floor down.

I've also pulled rigid foam out of a van floor after mounting this way and never had the foam deflect at all. the ply spreads the load just fine.

I have cut barn stall mats to fit tightly after cabinets were installed. They are plenty heavy and will not move around if cut to fit fairly tightly. But be warned, cutting them cleanly is a **********.
