Looking for the right radiator

So the radiator on my 96 ls Monty finally is dripping , slow but albeit it is leaking. I suspected it for a long time, but can see little water marks on the driveway after driving.

I've been all over google and whatnot. Seems the only affordable options are 2 row radiators that are metal and plastic?

Can't find the fabled 3 row radiator for sale. I searched this forum as well... Honestly I hate the search function here.

Any advice would be great! Thanks.

Do you still have the OEM all metal/copper radiator in your truck? If so you can usually have it inspected and repaired by your local A/C and radiator shop, shouldn't be too hard to find one in a large city.

If you still have the OEM the best and cheaper way to go is to repair it, did on mine like 3 years ago and still working just fine

I wish, the owner before had it replaced. I cant tell if he had a junkyard one put in. Where the metal on the top is worn away (and leaking) it looks brass. Looking on the inside it looks aluminum

As long as it does not have plastic end tanks it can be repaired, so google "san diego radiator repair" and make some calls, it really is that easy.

I got this one Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/152072127810

It is a two row radiator but the one of the rows is twice as big as the other row so it seems to have the volume of a 3 row radiator. So far so good, I like that it doesn't have any plastic parts either. I did have to drill some bolt holes because they didn't line up quite perfect.

Radiator

Just ordered that radiator. Thanks for the tip. Hard to believe you can buy a radiator worth a damn for < $100. I had a local shop price replacing the stock two row core with a three row, and they wanted $370.
