^ taken from my mountain retreat in Park Co. Colorado this past Sunday; I think it's about the most snow I've seen in CO since the mid-90s.

No snow in Southern California. We're 70% below average in rain/snow this season. We're in drought status. Ski resorts have had to make fake snow and many of the runs have not opened for the season due to lack of snow.

Henry Mountains, Utah snow picture on Feb.17. Somewhere around 80% of normal I believe. More snow in northern Utah than in southern Utah. The farther S and SW you get the less snow there is in the Utah mountain ranges and basins.

This is the 13th or 14th year of a drought in CO and much of the SW.

Some climatologists are starting to mention the centuries long "mega droughts" which have historically occurred in the region. Scary stuff.

I went dog sledding yesterday up in Breckenridge. So I was effectively on the other side of Georgia Pass from the pic above.

Good gosh, there is 8' of snow everywhere you look. Our guide (who was absolutely superb) was telling me about how bad it was a couple years ago where they were having to shovel snow onto the trail just to get a few runs in. No such issue this year. The snow is outstanding.
