Low Beams to bright on 2011 Tacoma?

I have a 2011 Tacoma 4x4 and have noticed that at night on rural roads I get a lot of oncoming traffic flashing me when I have my low beams on, and am wondering if other Tacoma drivers are getting this too, or were my lights adjusted wrong from the factory? I did come from a car but have had several toyota 4x4's in the past and have never had people flash me like this before. Even had an officer of the law driving an Excursion flash me the other night, so it's not jsut low vehicles doing it to me. Also, notice that the high beams a pretty high and put less light on the road then the low beams do. Any ideas?:smiley_drive:

Easiest thing to try is to adjust the lights down. Could be you have a heavier load in the back than what was calculated when the truck was made and the vehicle is tipped up at the front.

Or maybe you live in an area like I do where folks just like to flash everyone. I get flashed even in my WRX.

Never got flashed in the WRX I just sold and I have a Valentine One so it's not a warning about the police. The tech in Texas must have been asleep as the wheel:sombrero:

Is this happening when hauling stuff in the bed?

If you are sitting any lower than stock in the rear then it will shine the lights to high.

The only weight I have in the back is a camper shell, a chop saw, and a few power tools so i don't think that would do much. Am getting an aluminess front bumper in a week or so and will see it that lowers it a bit before i mess with adjustment. But it only weights 60lb:wings::wings:

The camper shell can be enough to change the angle of the lights, even more so with the stock Tacoma suspension. Take 5 mins and adjust them down. If the lights stayed the same from 2007, the lights are not too bright, they just need to be readjusted.

Unfortunately a topper is enough to sag the stock leaf springs.

Congrats on the Aluminess bumper, please post some pics when it is installed.
