Seat swap advice
Hi--also looking to convert a five-seater to seven. I have read the threads and sourced most of the parts, but just wondering if anyone else has completed this project. I PM'ed Spikemd, but thought I would post here as well. Despite extensive google searching and reading Spikemd's thread, I can't quite figure out how to handle the carpet/deck pieces that run parallel and lateral to the stowed seats (the pieces with the load tie-downs.) Should I try to get these pieces as well, or are they part of one big trunk liner? Can I just cut out the hole for the seat belt and for the anterior latch mechanism (I have the latches and trim piece with the instruction cartoons)? So far, all the salvage yard examples I have found have had greasy parts stowed in them and I haven't been able to see any of them in person.
Hope what I am asking will be clear to someone. It's hard to explain when you don't have part numbers or know what things are officially called.
Appreciate any help and look forward to participating in this forum.
