LR3 ARB rear diff lock

Hi!

I have read alot of expeditionportal posts about the LR3 as a expedition vehicle. And my question is for the ARB lockers.
The rear ARB air locker have been available now for some time. Have anyone of you still equipped one in a LR3? There are some that have the rear e-diff and have used the ARB locker on the front diff, but would have been nice to hear some experience with the rear ARB locker on the LR3. Im thinking of buying one for my LR3 myself, but would be nice to see some videos or something from someone who have tried this already.

Thanks!

Very interested as well although my e-dif locker will have to suffice for the time being. I do have a friend with the front ARB but he's the only ARB I've yet encountered in the wild.

The rear e-locker is what I have, has been more than adequate. We've built out a few ready to install (ARB) for people. I can get you an e-mail address of a couple of guys, drop me a pm if you like.

What do you mean "built out" and "ready to install" ? ARB sells them as ready as I expect ? Obviously I am missing what you're meaning...

The Locker CVs and axles are larger

Do you all carry front and/or rear driveshafts for the lr3? The shop says that could be my driveline vibration culprit but I am quite sure the dealer price on the shaft is not what I'll want to pay. It seems that even factory "genuine" parts are often much cheaper from other sources.

We do have them and I would check the rear first.
The Rear driveshaft is a hardy splicer and is $438
The fronts we can get from britpart. They are $210.

I've heard the factory version also uses a heavy duty axle. Could be a good idea to swap that when installing an ARB air locker.

There are two different axles as Justin mentioned. It cannot hurt at all to install the HD axles, as that is a weak point. They are interchangeable, as far as fit is concerned. Might be worth picking them up at a salvage yard, but they are probably few and far between.

So if I understand correctly, the factory HD package includes the factory progressive rear locker and full size spare, but ALSO beefier rear axles?

Makes finding a LR3/4 with the HD Package much more attractive and worth the extra effort to find....glad I held out for the HD package with my LR3 ;)
