LR3 brake kit recombination?

Yes, the difference between these Ceramic, and what was on it before is huge. I barely get any dust now, but with the old pads, I had to wash the wheels weekly, or they would turn black.

I'm an advocate of taking and honest self assessment and deciding if you can remember to change you brake pads of if you need the truck to tell you when it should be done. If you fall in the former, then just strip back some wire and close the loop, that's all the sensor is (open vs. close circuit).

Agreed. One other issue is that they only read one side of each axle.. My rears started grinding on the opposite side of the wear sensor. That was when I ordered all the parts. The rears came in first, changed those out, broke the wear sensor, so I shorted it, thinking I would order two new sensors to replace when the front parts came in. In the time it took to get the front backordered parts, the front sensor went off. And went off, and went off, and went off again.. Basically every time I pushed the brake pedel, it went off again. I never ordered the new sensors, and made sure to defeat that system. It didn't do what it was supposed to do originally (tell me my brakes were worn), and was very annoying when it started going off.

I also highly recommend EBC rotors and brake pads, however I did NOT like the Green Stuff brake pads as they wore out very quickly and will never use that color again. Went with Yellow Stuff brake pads and won't go back. Yellow lasts longer and I've seen NO difference in braking abilities. I use my LR3 in the city, highway, and I off-road hard in rocks, mud, and mountains.

Having done several sets of EBC Green Stuff, 2 sets of EBC sport rotors, I'll throw in my 2c. I thought I would get slick my last pad change and added the yellow stuff pads. They did a pretty good job tearing up the rotors. That being said I got 4 - 5 pad changes out of my first set of EBC Rotors. All things considered, unless I got a substandard set of rotors the 2nd time through I cannot recommend the yellow stuff pads.

Using the EBC Green stuff, and rotors, I was able to do a light turn at each pad fitting and was good to go for over 80k miles. NOT the case with the 2nd set of rotors with yellow stuff. Lesson learned.. Most of my driving is City driving, hence a lot of brake wear here.

What's the policy for our trucks and turning the rotors? Didn't care before but now I have been meaning to get new pads/rotors ordered and was wondering.

The factory rotors could not be turned. The EBC had enough material to turn several times. I found that a light turn was necessary at pad fitting to ensure smooth braking.
