LR3 (Disco 3) buying question: History of the short block replaced. Major red flag?

Are they mistaken a EAS VALVE block for a short block by any chance ?

Could need drop links x4, arb bushes x4, the front lower wishbones, the rear upper wishbones, front wheel bearings, maybe an alternator or battery if both are original.

They are heavy cars and have lots of electrics, if the electrics start to throw hissy fits, 9/10 times it's due to battery or alternator being to blame.
The bushes etc are all wear and tear items.

Make sure you flush the autobox and consider doing the transfer and diffs as well.

There was a run of jag blocks that had porosity issues near the rear causing oil leaks. Some were fixed with a sealant others got a motor. Iirc it was 2008 too.
