LR3 Hub options?

We are about to have our forth hub go out on my wife's LR. 1 every summer we have owned it. The first one a replaced with a genuine hub and got about 20k out of it. After that one I switched to Timken from an amazon source and have gotten 65k and 25k respectively out of them. The 25k one is going strong after a field repair in Wyoming last summer. The hub with 60k is just starting to grind in full lock turns, so it's getting to be time for a new one. Has anyone come out with a stronger lasting hub? Something closer to a 3/4 or 1 ton option?

"hub" same as "Wheel bearings"? If so, I got 100K miles out of my front set while wearing much heavier 32" GY duratracs tires. Rears are original with 140K miles. When mine got any play in them the lugs in the Duratracs rubbed in the upper A-frame.

Yes the wheel bearing is in the hub. On LR3 and most modern 4x4's you just replace the hole hub Assembly.

Everything that I've been told is that Timken is the go-to.

Our heavy trucks seem to chew up long-term consumables like the bearings and the bushings.

Timken is definitely the way to go. Plus if you have a press, you can replace the Timkens in your old set and put them on the shelf for the next 50k change.
