LR3 Key In Ignition"

Last Night my wife's 2006 LR3 Key started to act up like the battery is out. She unlocked the door manual and then drove home. When she got home and removed the key the truck keep giving the "Key In Ignition" message and bell tone, like she left the key in the ignition. No key. Its a problem as the car wants the lights on.

Does anyone know a "Hard Reset" method for the computer?

I disconnected the battery all last night with no luck this morning.

Ideas?

Thanks

I don't know if this would apply, but there was a reset I used once, when the Land Rover NAV screen would stay illuminated after exiting and locking the vehicle. It was some weird sequence of turning the key to various positions in the ignition. I'll try to dig up a link.

Hi TJ

It almost sounds like a problem with the ignition switch.... interesting. Let us know what you find out.

The Issue is that when you remove the Key from the ignition the compute is still running the Key in Ignition warning with the chime.
