I would highly recommend getting a MOST bypass loop to diagnose audio system problems. It can be plugged in place of a suspect module while allowing the rest of the system to function.

Interesting! So you use this to fault isolate each component to find which one is the problem?
Basically. It doesn't necessarily mean the component is bad, but you can at least isolate the problem. For example, if the phone module power wire splice has corroded, the phone module will take down the most network. You can bypass it and everything will work, with the exception of bluetooth. A lot of times the module is the problem, but it is always worth checking for power and ground at the module before condemning it. You can also leave a MOST bypass loop installed permanently if you don't use that feature.
IIRC, the front screen will get stuck on a LR logo at startup when the network is down, but other symptoms are also possible, such as reseting everything while driving. I can't remember if the screen or the radio itself is what generates the signal for the MOST ring. You can unplug any of the modules and check for a red light coming out of the fibre optic cable. If there is no light, you need to investigate why.
