LR3 Sway Bar Bushings

I've got a bit of shimmy sometimes when I brake. I'm going to look at these because the control arms are all nice and tight still.

Check your inner and outer tie rods too! I can move mine by hand right now and have a nasty shake on breaking. My parts arrive this week so I'll be plugging away slowly on that project.

It's going into the shop Thursday to be looked over and replace the rear brakes. It's time to do all the driveline fluids as well. Plus I think the coil conversion will be happening before I head out on summer holidays. That's what happens when you haven't had many repairs and put 50K on it a year. There's 168k on the control arms now so that will be the next thing to save for. But she's paid for and cheaper to keep up than replace. On another note, that sleeve I purchased for the wiring over the rear drivers wheel arch seems to have worked. I has no corroded wires or Can-bus issues from that location this winter.

hahah, disregard my spelling on braking! Geez, it's early here in Hawaii! lol

Yeah, my truck is paid off more than a few times so that is why I decided I am just going to keep loving her and working on her. She has been great to me and now I am starting the conversion to a full overland rig.

I will probably go to coils at some point as well, just waiting to see if ARB is going to give Disco 3/4 some love on BP shocks.

For anyone looking in the future, LR015339 is the part number. If you need a new bracket it is RBU500100

Well- I got some jackstands and that took all the preassure of the sway bar. Suspension height didn't matter at that point. Once I had the back end on the stands, the whole thing only took an hour.

I wish I had thought to do that at the begining. If you're thinking of doing this, just start with jack stands and you'll be done in no time.

What bracket? I'm doing mine next week and the U shaped clams look like they'd be hard to damage enough to need replacing. Although I think on my bmw the aftermarket sway bars came with new ones maybe because of the big size change.

Yeah I'm doing mine too. If there is potential for damage on removal I'll need to get those on order. I can't imagine they would have issue though outside of rust maybe ?!?!?

Atlantic British YouTube video made the rear look pretty easy. Less easy to deal with the control arms though!
