LR3 Transmission service flush

The issue i had was ZF, the gearbox maker say that it should get changed at 75k, or 50k if you do lots of towing.

LR say it's lifetime, ( or till the warrenty expires.... ) so who do you listen to? The maker of the car, or the maker of the gearbox?

This was the colour of the oil from my box at the start of the flush.

After a few minutes it started to run clearer.

You can see the 2 pipes coming up the left side of the car. The front end was removed as i was also getting the factory winch A bar fitted and also a larger performance intercooler fitted. Yes i have the TDV6 model.. :p

My TC has been juddering since last summer and the oil change has done nothing for it, the box changes are smoother though.
A new TC is just over £1100 fitted. A new autobox and TC is £2800 on exchange to buy alone.

The other concern is that the autobox oil and the engine coolant have mixed as the rad in very rare cases can have porus walls and let them mix, this makes Glycol. If you get the oil tested and you have Glycol. It's a new autobox and TC time. :(

I'm getting mine tested in the new year and regardless of the result i'll be getting a oil cooler make up to stop it using the rad to eliminate that issue.
