LR4 beats GX460, GL450 in Death Valley test

Here's an oddity: Truck Trend Magazine chose the least expensive vehicle as the winner of its three-way luxury SUV comparison test. They drove a Land Rover LR4, a Lexus GX460 and Mercedes GL450 for a couple of days in Death Valley. In the end, they liked the LR4 the best.

No surprises there, the LR4 is doing it world wide, just carrying on from the LR3, the new 3.0l diesel is amazing!!!

The only thing that surprises me is that the LR4 is a "value leader"?

I'll never understand how so many people justify spending so much on cars.

Even if they marketed the TDV6 diesel in the States that wouldn't do the normal, poor people like me and a million others any good as new LR's still would be megapriced "value leaders" we could not remotely afford or even would want with all the ridiculous, overwrought electronics and "luxury" garbage.

Thats true, but it would get factory L.R. Diesel motors into the states which would allow alot more people to do swaps alot easier than having them imported etc.
