I can vouch for the fact that Justin is in no way gentle when testing out new products. He drives that Rangie like it's a stolen Baja truck. :D...

X2. I've seen this beast in person. No part Justin puts on it is going to get through without a serious workout.

Project update
With the sliders installed we played around with them a bit. Heres a quick review.

For the most part the install went quite well for these 3 bolts
photo-2-7_zps0dffbdc3.jpg

But this one below was a little bit of a challenge. You needed to be spot on when drilling the hole.

As you can see in this picture the top of the slider fits snugly against the sill. You get to mount directly to the frame and still use the sill for support.

Over all We think they fit the truck nicely.

coming down the pipe soon will be diff guards. As you can see from this picture we are on thin ice.

And finally here's a quick video of us testing the sliders.

Project update

The new Terrafirma Disco2 fender flares came in and we did a quick mockup to see if they're going to work.

photo-4_zpsd092cca7.jpg

You can see from this picture we are getting a serious amount of rub.

photo-5_zps1a978e05.jpg

Once the flares are installed I think we'll have plenty of room.

Unfortunately we're going to have to remove the sliders and trim them a bit, but I feel the benefits of having a 33 inch tire out ways this little bit of extra effort.

photo-3-2.jpg

The back doesn't appear to be having as much interference as the front and will not require much trimming at all.

im using TF023v in the front and TF027v in the rear.

I hope that helps but please keep in mind that the springs will not work with stock shocks

Project help please

When talking to people about this project everybody has a different opinion on what size lift we have.
Hopefully we can clear this up. If anybody has access to a P38 with stock suspension could you take some measurements for us?
I would love to know the measurements in standard mode from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the fender front and rear please.

This is what we currently have on our project.
The front
photo-1-8_zps797be409.jpg

21.5 inches

The rear
photo-2-7_zpsa68300ab.jpg

22 inches.

Just for reference the 305/70/16 tires on the truck
photo-26_zpsbbfc03f1.jpg

32 3/4 inches

Thank you for your help

ok i just went out an took some mesurments on mine.. i got 19in in front an 20 in the rear .....it looks to me that the person that did the coil conversion put some kinda of aluminum spacer between the perch an spring .... but im like you i have know idea what is stock .... but regardless.. from what i see im only around 2 in from my goal of geting the 33s on there.... an i bleave my current springs are either bad or the wrong ones because it rides like a tank(stiff) on the road and it will hit the bump stops way do easy ..... i do know the driver side rear sags but now that ive seen your mesurments i wander if i would need to pull out the spacers to fit the TF springs.....by the way maybe someone and answere this question ... are the springs for the p38 coil conversion specifically for the p38 or are they some generic land rover spring that works .....

Thanks for posting

The springs are for Land Rovers in general.

im using TF023v in the front and TF027v in the rear.

Can ask take pictures the springs in front and at the rear.
This are rear progressive springs.

TF023V Medium load rear coil springs. This spring is suitable for the rear of a Defender 90, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic carrying up to +200kg of additional equipment and will provide around 2” of lift.

TF027V Heavy load rear coil springs are designed to provide 2” of lift on heavily laden vehicles for commercial and expedition use.
The TF027V fits the rear of Disco1, Disco2, Range Rover Classic, and Defender 90s carrying a constant load or additional equipment weighing more than + 300kg.

Is not too hard ride?
