I have one of these: http://www.hitchcorner.com/locks.htm (scroll down to see their lunette lock). I rarely disconnect my trailer anywhere but home (stored behind locked gate), so it just sits in the back of the trailer. The times I have used it, it works great. If your in SLC - Henderson Wheel & Tire is where I got mine, ~$50.

Pretty simple to fab one up for yourself... I made one so that the pad lock was hidden and could not be hit by or with something...
