Lurker finally CHECKING IN

Hello to all!!! I've been a lurker for quite sometime and finally took the plung. Well this has been quite a year, going from '02 Disco which I traded in for a mint '06 Wrnagler Unlimited that the wife hated and now I'm finally settled into a '07 Voodoo Blue FJ Cruiser which I totally dig. The day after I brought it home my wife and daughter named him "Hefty Smurf"... it could have been worse, it could have been "Smurfet".
:coffee: Well a little about myself: I just retired from the Marine Corps at the end of Aug, did 20 years, and live in Durham, NC. I was wounded in Iraq a couple of years back so my right kick-stand does not work that well as times. I enjoy the outdoors and kinda got the vehicle expedition bug when I lived in Africa from 2000 to 2003.

I'm very interested in getting to know all of you and enjoy this site quite a bit since most everyone appears to be professional...:D

Since I have alot of time on my hands these days please get in touch if your doing something in my neck of the woods... or even a little further... the wife is not used to me home so much so she is game with me driving away for a week or two.
Take care
Russell

Welcome Russell and thanks for your service. We need more FJ Cruiser people here. I think that you will find this to be the best off-road site to ever exist.

Welcome to ExPo and thank you ! Post some pics of your FJ when you get a chance...I've always liked the FJs. If I had the funds, I'd love to have one as a second vehicle.

That's one of my favorite things about this site; you don't have to sift through countless posts of bantering and name-calling just to find some useful info.

BTW, thank you for your service

Thanks for the warm welcome

So I woke this morning early so the wife and I could have a romantic drive to Uwharrie... :coffeedrink: however she is feeling ill due to being pregnant. So I'll spend my time working on the rear cargo area set up.

Thank you guys for thanking me, glad to be here! I hope to get some :Wow1:real photos soon!!!
