They criminalize public camping in the cities and there arent enough shelter beds so people with nowhere to go get pushed farther and farther out. Id do the same thing in their situation.

And the local government seems to be taking a completely hands off approach with this

What an absolute load of B.S. and buck passing… a 14 year old high school kid shoplifts a $3.00 tube of lipstick at Walmart and the cops get called and the perp gets arrested and charged. But break through a security fence, trespass on private land, break into and destroy $100,000 trailer and trash the area around it and the city says, “ain’t nothing we can do about it!”

Based on 1 min of search, I don't think they even have a city police force. It's LA Sheriffs who police this town. So... that's who they should be talking to.

But regardless, they should have nipped this in the bud. It's been going on for months with no action. The real issue is probably the law that forbids citing homeless unless you have a place to house them...

Bring in a PMC/Armed security, and I bet all the sudden the city/county starts to care….

That being said, I am glad that particular circus is not my problem. From the emergency services, or corporate standpoint. It’s a loose loose at this point.

They should have been actively monitoring/ patrolling it. ( The company)

The only thing for certain, is it did not happen overnight.

Could the fact that they appear to be Black Series brand have anything to do with this coincidence? They were not parked in a traditional fashion either.

yes it seems bizarre to me that they would have just parked a bunch of them in an open desert yard and just "hope" nothing would happen. These are very expensive trailers, I would have put them in a warehouse or something a little bit more protected.

So Black Series started as a Chinese import that the US branded company then assembled in Socal then sold to dealers.

My guess is this lot of campers were basically abandoned due to the financial crisis at whatever was left of “Black Series” and no one was paying any attention to the stock left parked in a crappy storage lot location.

The sheriffs department isn’t going to do anything unless someone affiliated with the holding company actually files a report or calls them. If there aren’t any employees left to have concerns about company property then nothing is actually said to law enforcement.

As for the homeless issue every state I’ve been to has this problem. Its a country wide problem not a state problem.

Chinese investors lost their shirt on the Black Series idea. Likely abandoned inventory with a little bit of insurance fraud possibly in play to offset losses.

They are in a fenced lot (tall fence and barbed wire) in the middle of the LA megalopolis.

I couldn't find any info about them being out of business...

CA has 28% of the US homeless. Many move to where the climate, services, and laws favor them.
