so after much planning and pre planning along with scrutinizing my own autocad file several times. i've finally started building my m416 trailer. i went and picked up all the steel.. and holly crap.. its heavy. when the forklift droped it onto my truck my truck droped like 2" but my little 22r had no problems..
ill have some more pic's tommorw or the next day.. i ran out of welding wire..
at first i was mocking it up on the floor and when i was almost done, i lifted the frame up on end to grind down some corners.. and noticed that none of the joints were flat.. so i proped the trailer up on 2x4 in 4 corners, so that i can work on all the joints. i ended up cutting all my tack welds and using a c-clamp and 2x4 to press them togther.. to make a flat joint. And i had to do 6 joints, with 4 tacks per.. lol
im not on this sight to often, so if you'd like to keep up to date check out
