M416 Springs Question

OK so my modified trailer has OEM springs on it in a SOA configuration. After several years of some hard and not so hard use, the springs are basically flat when I look under the trailer. I do not want to change the brackets bolted to the frame that hold the springs but add a leaf, new springs, shackles, etc. are all on the table. Not sure how much the whole rig weighs but I will find out next week.

Any ideas on mods to hold more weight and put some arch back in the springs or replacements that will fit?

Thanks.

Don....Don't know if you know about these people or not but I'm going to direct you to them. I have purchased from them before and they are good to go. Follow the link....http://www.midwestmilitary.com. They'll have what you need if not more or they'll direct you in the right direction.

They have a parts department for the M416 trailer. I would imagine that's what you have. Here is the link..http://store.midwestmilitary.com/category-s/1821.htm?searching=Y&sort=13&cat=1821&show=30&page=1.

Ask them about suspension. I'm sure they'll be able to help you out in this.

Best Regards,

Joel

Thanks for the replies. I am thinking the 10 leaf is the way to go and Midwest is saying the same. Thanks I need to put some bounce (but not too much) back into the trailer.

This list always has such great assistance! I was looking to do exactly the same thing for my 416...my springs are all but inverted when trailer is loaded!! This is an easy fix :)

Cheers!
