M416 trailer rebuild!!!

I had one of my shackles fall off the front of my 4 runner, bounce off the road, then take out my AT oil cooler. LUCKILY i had bypassed that cooler the previous weekend with a B&M super cooler up by the radiator. but man lemme tell you it was an eye opener. I never leave my shackles on my rigs anymore. i just bring em with me in a battery box along with all my other recovery gear.

I paid 200 for the frame and then an additional 200 for the tub. I'm sure it would have been a little less had it all been done at once. I just didn't have everything ready at the same time.

Maybe a silly question! Has anyone tried to put insurance on a completed build? My company told be I was only insured for $500 behind the vehicle.

Plenty of folks insure trailers. The trick is getting them to agree to value you place on it. Word of advise, it is a "camping trailer" and not an "off-road trailer".
