auslander,
The medium Maggiolina GT and Columbus are great tents. I've owned them both and they each have thier attributes with ample room to sit up and easily get dressed/undressed.
I really liked the Maggiolina and felt it was much warmer in true cold weather situations (we live in the damp, rainy PacificNW).

"A Maggiolina is like an alpine tent. Holds the heat down low. They could easily build the tent with more headroom but they wouldn't be as good in cold weather. The Columbus has something like five feet of headroom if you are looking for more height."
My wife thought it was what a coffin must be like to sleep in, so we sold the Magg and bought the Columbus Variant XL. Not as warm in my opinion, but much roomier inside, quicker setup/takedown, no crank handle to loose, and better ventilation abilities with two big screened openings on the sides and a huge one at the back.
