When I was a kid I had a blast exploring mines around Quartzite, AZ with my dad and uncle. Always enjoyed wandering around the old ruins and exploring deep inside the mines. Thought it was crazy that stuff like that was still around and not completely boarded up or fenced. Growing up in Georgia, anything that was remotely dangerous was sealed, gated, fenced, or generally impossible to get to.
I hope to make a trip out west again soon and be able to explore some of these amazing desert finds.
