Making a Daily Driver F150 SCrew "expedition" ready on a budget

Here is the shovel / pulaski setup. There is a thread over on F150Forum where someone built an L-track setup using the boxlink setup that I might have to "borrow" from for a future phase 2.

A user on the Midwest Overlanders facebook group was selling a Molle panel setup that was designed for the back door of a Jeep. Price was right so I bought it and started figuring out how to fabricate a bracket assembly to mount it behind the seat. A little trial and error, a measuring tape and a drill press and voila!

The 2 molle pouches came with it, i've since added another small one between the 2 larger ones. As you can see, with some velcro straps it holds my Benji 392 securely.

I also added a couple of purchased items as well (no fab needed by me - for now at least).

Got an RCI front skid via a group buy. I'll eventually buy a more complete setup, but I wanted to protect the intercooler on the 2.7. First had to remove the lower air dam which had the side benefit of making the truck look better as well. Had some helpers:

Skid installed:

Based on the various reviews and conversations, I also picked up a MF-1050. I like the flexibility vs full time hard installed OBA on a daily driver. Stores easily under the back seat.

Nice updates. Re-purposing stuff is a lot of fun. You guys are doing a great job on these projects  <<< root beer
Really like those skid plates. Looks like some great protection.

This rig is turning out great! It's amazing how much the little things like organizers make a big difference when traveling.

I still need to copy your box link system for mounting stuff.

While mine is cheap and works well, check out the thread on f150forum by CM_CUMMIN. His l track setup makes me envious
