Mapsource + Windows7 + Regedit

So, in true "there's no way I'm running through all of these CD's" fashion (like on my old windows XP machine)...I'm trying to redirect my Mapsource to the map files that I loaded to my HDD. (Yes the latests mapsource works with windows7 64bit :victory: )

BUT...when I go to edit the registry, there's no listing for Mapsource or Garmin. What gives?!?!

Any gurus out there who have already dealt with this?

A friend suggested that I try installing the other discs as virtual drives, then when the software wants to read them, I will direct it to the virtual drives.

Thoughts?

Maybe contact the Mapsource folks and ask them?

I had the same questions for my Nat Geo Topo maps and found the answers the same way.
