March Mojave Rendevous 2011

I've been a little slow to update my blog. I really enjoyed looking back through the photos and remembering the great time that I had and thought I would post this outside of the regional forum. I really appreciate what Taco Doc has started here in the West.

We had some amazing fun! I was able to experience first hand how nimble and capable a modified VW Synchro can be.

The whole event was so big that I barely had time to get with old and new friends. The terrain was awesome and the history of mining once again drew me out into the canyons.

The blog format works well for me for trip reports. I don't like deliberate disruptions from folks who think a forum somehow licenses them to spew their misinformed views. It only takes one of them to ruin a good trip report. The forum format is good for topics that can be developed through discussions and even differences of opinions. Subjects such as trip planning or suspension discussions for example.

Thanks for posting Jim, i dig the shot of your rig from straight up top. That is too cool. Oh yeah and so is that teardrop, but im biased
