howdy guy, has been about 18 months since I last posted here.we finally have purchased another van after my homemade van was written off in an accident.the pictures I have supplied aren't of my van but one exactly the same(forgot to take pre modification photos).these vans have a tare of 1750kgs
so I have decided to remove accessories I don't require or like.removed both spare tyres ,mounting system and rear water tank to allow replacement with windup spare tyre under rear of van(not concerned about ramp or departure angles).removed 3 agm batteries from under bed and replaced with one lithium in front boot(75kgs to 13kgs)replace original battery management system with redarc 1230s2 system.replaced electric awning with wrap around that covers most of the pull out bed when set up.replaced front stone guard which removed a gas bottle and 2 jerry can holders.fitted scuppers ,plus insulated both sides of front boot and one has fan fitted with 30 degree switch.finally remove the 3 flexable solar panels that had been glued to the roof because of poor performance.will use a 200w blanket from now on.when removing panels from roof I noticed cracking in fibre glass under panels because of trapped heat and now have decided to paint roof for protection.im thinking I have lowered tare between 200-250 kgs
