Progress this weekend. The Bubba gate was becoming an issue with the added frame and bumper. Removed the hinges and welded it back in place. If a gate is needed later, I will use a more stable design. The rack frame is done. Still need to order the acctuators and pull pins. I have it bolted into the lower position until the tent is purchased. Next up is to complete the flooring in the fuel can holders.

Finally got the bottoms of the fuel racks done and the securing straps fabbed up.

Photobucket went down, will post more later..
This is in the relax/load position. They suck up next to the wall.

RTT hauler with small power and possible plumbing. Mainly water tank with heater for cleaning. Picked up a quiet 2K gen. I am looking at the Tepui Gran SABANA Siberian Camo.
Can't afford the luxurious pampered vacations, nor do I seek them, so my lovely bride and I plan on mini vacations through out National Forests and such.

Trailer worked great. Tracked very well in the tight spots and handled the rough stuff just fine. I really like that it has shocks to control the bounce. Really looking forward to the RTT to make it more complete.

The TEPUI Gran SABANA in Siberian Camo, will be delivered Nov 24. Plans are to mount it that evening and head out to my friends property in East Tx and try it out over the Thanksgiving Weekend.:wings::wings:

Santa arrived

Had a few things to work out while the tent was in transit but it turned out to be great!
I've got to give it to the customer support I received from Tepui and their affiliates!!

Was able to take it to lake this weekend with the Mrs. and our neighbors. So far, I must say, I'm impressed with it.
A set of stabilizers will be next on the rear to assist in the parked sway controll. Directly after that, the lift cylinders will be in line.

Looking good. When you build the lift system please take a lot of pics. Getting ready to start my rack system soon and it will need a lift also.

Took it to the lake to see how the annex works. This thing is a Monster. Wound up with almost 6'3" headroom under the floor.
Finally ordering the struts this weekend. Finally. For now, I will be installing the #50 springs. Don't want to fight getting it back down at #75 x 4.

Picked up a #5 propane tank this week and my gas springs with locking pins showed up. If it would stop freezing rain, I would like to get them mounted and fab up a tank holster off of the rear platforms.
As cool as the original axle and suspension are, I think I will be going to the Timbren #2000 wide lift setup. I will try to gain a bit of hub width if possible to achieve as much stability as possible during the transformation.
I am concerned about the high COG the RTT has created. It gets awfully tippy in corners. It may just require a stiffer/replacement spring set, but I also would like E-breaks to help with the downhill pushing going on.
If the weather decides to clear up some, I will get back to work and throw some pics up of the lift assist.
