Mechanic recommendation DC/MD area

We are right outside DC in MD. Any good mechanic recommendation? I want to get some engine work done - plugs, seals, etc. I would like to think I should/could tackle it myself but I see my montero in pieces in the garage for months. I also have a nice garage for someone to work out of. Thanks

You don't say specifically where in the area you are.
For general mechanics, I highly recommend Burdette Brothers in Hyattstown (on the Montgomery/Frederick county line). They are a former Pontiac dealer that now sells new trailers and used cars and truck. We've used them for Ford, Dodge and GM products with pretty good results and their hourly rates beat any dealers around.
For 4x4 specific work, consider Adrenaline Off Road in Burtonsville MD. Good folks that tend to specialize in Jeeps (as do many 4x4 shops) but work is generally good.

You don't think you can do it yourself? These vehicles ate pretty easy to work on. A basic set of metric hand tools and the factory service manual is really all that's necessary.
