The base truck started out life as a “Airport Fire tender” and is based upon a 917 Mercedes 4 x 4 with hi + low ratio with centre box and rear diff lock (VERY SIMILAR TO A UNIMOG).

Its very cool - I've been to see it. My only problem with it is need something for family and whilst I could modify the front seats to get two kids seats where the middle bucket seat is to start with, think kids would get too big too quickly. Very cool.

I think it's awesome that actually considered this as a family vehicle.
