Oh no thank you very much, seen way to many Bremach stranded with owners waiting for parts to be shipped. This is a cool looking vehicle with many good features, but I wouldn't not want to take that out of Europe. After all it is an Italian brand with almost no dealer/parts network.

I actually don´t care much about the brand!
You should, if you care about reliability and the ease of getting service/part abroad. Unless you just drive around Europe.

When you say a major marketing brand means a good support and quality this would not be true. This is the reason why marketing departments spend millions of dollar to build a brand. I know what I am talking about, as I am one of these, though in a different segment.

Actually you don't need to deal with Bremach very much: engine comes from Iveco, tranny is Allison, at least for Germany, Austria, Swiss you can deal with a German importer, who's known for a great support, up to 7 days per week.

The dealer issue is as worse as for all US companies. I can't get a simple thing like an oil filter here for my 7.3 idi, at least without translating the technical data from motor craft into similar data from an European filter brand, like k and n, MANN... by myself of course. Getting an alternator was almost impossible. Ring/ pinion was impossible, so I ordered from summit and received these after 8 days! Though it cost 130$ shipping.

Back to the point:
All parts for the all wheel conversion and the third axle are parts of the company who made a conversion for how many trucks like this? I don't think you can get any parts from them in 10 years...

It's funny when marketing people think that they, or the marketing, is the sole reason for a company's long term success!

Couldn't be the experience of millions of users over 89 years!!!??!

Who do you thing *really* markets a product? The users! Sharing their good and bad experiences over and over and over!

I will be out, because I don't want to make it a marketing thread
In my business I can say that after a meeting with local press test articles have been pretty much better than before. It's in other words: a product wuss a test- another doesn't.
I am sure, and I have the numbers, that this infuses end consumers.

Love these crappy fake "high road" statements. Typical political type marketing spin. "I'm out but let me just toss in one more argument".

The fact in this case is that 89 years of success has enabled Mercedes to build a much larger parts supply network worldwide. Even if it were a lesser vehicle, 1 more day of repairs beats 2 weeks waiting for parts.

I can not care less which name the brand has, but I care which brand I pick depending on the longterm travel I'm planing to do. If you think a VW (T3 T4 or T5) is a good idea to travel Central- and South-America you are wrong, because it does not exist in this part of the world. If you use it to travel Europe. Go for it. You know what I mean with care about picking the right brand?
Yes, there is a difference to have a support network like Mercedes or Mitsubishi all over the world, if you.....want to travel the world. Specially if you know your typ of truck is also used by locals. And no, Bremach is not a vehicle brand that has this kind of backup or is known anywhere outside a few countries in Europe. As I said I have seen first hand more than enough Bremach owners stranded in South-America, because getting their car fixed and order parts took freaking ages (and was pricy). Ahhh and I'm sorry ONE importer I can talk to if I have a problem abroad is not the kind of support I'm looking for. I haven't dealt with him personally, but from what I have heard from the owners I met, the support wasn't that great.

I don't think they used much custom parts on the chassis, but I'm with you. I also think it is not a good idea to use a 6x6 conversion in general as a travel rig. Just saying it looks cool. Not more.
