MFC gaskets

I don't know if this is considered support, storeage, or recovery. FWIW I consider my fuel supply as part of my recovery gear. I have recently aquired a few Scepter MFC's and they were used for diesel by their previous owner. I'm looking for a place to get quality gaskets and straps for these for gasoline use. What would be the best place to look for these and the bast way to go about cleaning these before I taint good gasoline?

This guy charges 4.50 shipped to your door for the gas gaskets. Just send him an e-mail.

As for cleaning them, tip upside down to get most out, then I use the blue shop towels and shove a few in to soak up the rest then pull them out.

Cheers

Thank you for your replies. As cleaning goes, they are already empty and dry. I just didn't know if it was cool to just go ahead and fill them with gas, or if I should clean them out.

A couple options for peace of mind would be brake cleaner or mineral spirits, put a little in the can, slosh around well, dump out/soak up as much as you can then let the cleaner/spirits evaporate and you'll be good to go. Mineral spirits is good cause it doesn't even leave any residue but brake cleaner works better.
