Expedition Leader
Took the short drive from Tooele, Utah up to Middle Canyon Road to the Kenecot Copper Mine over look. The drive up had some nice foilage and smell of leaves was greats (this portion was paved, when you ascend up the mountain it turns to dirt). The drive up too the overlook provide some great view of the surrounding mountain and the valleys.
The mine itself is huge. I've seen it from I-15 up to this time but to be up above it gives it awhole though since. It would be interesting too see the mine lite up at night from up above.
The road back down was kind of pain. Even though it was paved it switched back and forth between single and double lanes with blind corners. So you had to be a little careful going around those. Again, the changing colors of trees was great.
