Mild lift for F 450 and F550

I will be taking my truck to both Superlift and Skyjacker in Monroe Louisiana. They will look at the truck and see what it will take to do a lift on the truck. If I can have some idea of who would want this to happen I can try for a group price. Thank you.

I may be interested. I'm currently looking into the same thing using a local shop. Would be curious to hear what they say about radius arms and steering. The actual lift is the easy part. Keep me posted.

Bob' Do you have the round or square front axle? All the builds I have seen have the round axle. Mine has the square. I think they call that the super60. It is not the same that they use on F350 or F450 PU.

All of the 08/09 F450 and F550 chassis cabs have the Dana Super 60 front axle and Dana S110 rear axle.

Contact either Deaver Spring(my first choice), or National Spring(if they are still around)... they should be able to set you up with some nice leaf packs....

Gary runs leaf springs reworked by National Spring. He has the regular Dana 60. We have no problem lifting the rear. It is the steering and drive line. I saw a F350 with a 10inch lift. He said he had no problems with the drive line. Steering was the only problem.

Anyone know what tire/wheel combo Gary has now? I remember him not liking what he was using.

Gary started out using Michelin XZL 335/80R20 on custom Stockton steel wheels (20x11). He experimented with several 22.5 commercial tires using custom Rickson 22.5 wheels, and then went back to the Michelin 20s. Dan at Rickson mentioend that the 22.5s didn't ride well with the limited weight of the TurtleV. Rather than opt for 19.5s Gary went back to the 20s.

I talked to Mark at Kelderman today about our truck lift. I could tell he had no idea what the differance is between the chassis cab and pick up. He said "I Just know that we have sold the lifts and they did not work right. We can do it here in our shop.: I ask him about the Earthroamer lift. He admitted that since earthroamer would not be needing them he will talk to Jeff about selling the earthroamer lifts. It is $1500.00 for just the front. Without shocks. I did not get a chance to go to Monroe today.

............. He admitted that since earthroamer would not be needing them ................

Why won't they need them? Even if they do need the parts, I don't see why lifting other trucks is an issue. Aren't they a suspension shop? I don't want to sound like I expect you to speak for kelderman. Just trying to clarify.

Maybe they had a contract for a patented lift for the Earthroamers. I will know when Mark talks to Jeff and IF they get back with me. He did give me the impression they had a lift for the earthroamer but were not selling them to the public.

Rize

It looks like Rize Industries makes a 6" radius arm lift kit for the front end of the 08 F450/F550. Does anybody have experience with this company or kit?

News break!!

Fab Tech has a lift for the F450 and F550 listed under NEW PRODUCTS. I contacted Jackit Lift Company, a dealer. Matt said that it was made for the Chassis cab. Check it out. I still only want 4 inches at the most.
