The freezer/fridge uses forced air to cool faster and more evenly when plugged into a power source as opposd to the normal cold plate. It even has a heat circuit if internal temp gets too low it will rapidly bring it back into range. This was designed to transport blood plasma and vaccines to battlefields and remote area's- not cool groceries and beer. It's overkill for sure but very cool.
