Military Surplus tent liner ???

Does anyone use mil surplus or other type of tent liner to insulate and protect your tent floor in colder conditions?

Thinking of adding one to my 14' x 10' for fall/early winter and late winter/early spring family camping.

Any experience or alternative suggestions are appreciated.

Alternative solution

Came up with what seems to be a solid alternative to cutting and re-sewing the 8' x 30' military tent liner.

Picked up 4 7'x5' military surplus poncho liners. They have ties to attach to a poncho that I will use to attach them to each other making a complete floor cover that will be almost fully square at about 14' x 10'. (precisely the footprint of my tent.) This should provide a nice insulating layer between the ground and air mattresses to help keep the heat of sleeping campers from getting leached into the cold Vermont autumn ground. :ylsmoke:

They should arrive later this week. Will post pics of them installed if anyone is interested. This will also be our first outing with the one minute tent, so it'll be interesting to see how it goes. While it may not be quite as rugged as the 22' x 10' Turbo tent, it was what fit within the budget this year at $177 shipped and appears to be built well enough to handle a couple of seasons. Time will tell while I save for that monster sized turbo tent!
