Forgot to add in the original post, making this a quasi arctic edition patriot too, white, black wheels, arctic edition badging, wrinkle blue tow hooks, blue trail rated badges as well as yeti gauge faces as well.. An all round fun rig!

A little update, we are moving so the purchase of the pat has been pushed back until summer. No change in the plan besides we are going with an fd1 fornh six speed trans, not the CVT. I will get the suspension and skids from the fd2 installed however.

My first post, but after lurking for some time. I am greatly interested to learn of any updates you might have. I own a 2014 Patriot Latitude FDII. Tommudd, why did you ask the OP about his interest in RRO parts? Is there some concern about the company? They have a good variety of off-road parts for Patriots that I cannot seem to find anywhere else and I am interested in a few things they make. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

O'dubhGhaill, I have used the RRO lift on my 2010 patriot with great success. Go for it. We have since changed our minds about getting the pat....FOR NOW. We are keeping the mazda 5 we have. PM me if you want more information about the FDII. its an awesome platform.

Really enjoyed my old Patriot before I moved up to the Wrangler. The only thing I hated was the CVT, but I think they have since been replaced it with the new 9 speed tranny. Here's mine on the Outer Banks.

RRO typically is known for cheap spacer lifts, which people tend to use with the stock worn suspension and no extended bump stops. It's a wonderful recipe for having to redo the lift again soon.

However, I only know of two lift packages on the market for the Patriot / Compass / Caliber.
Rocky Road Outfitters - USA - Spacer Lift
Murchison Products - AU - Coil Lift (Stu's coils)

IMHO, when lifting a vehicle try to do it right the first time regardless of lift type, use new shocks / struts / coils and make sure the bump stops can prevent your shocks / struts from bottoming.

See, you are wrong. The spacer lift in the pat does NOT go between the springs and strut, it goes ABOVE the strut. All Factory suspension bits stay the same, In the same place just its 2.1" higher. You will need an alignment afterwards. but it works great, keeps the same ride, and handling. I Run a teraflex spacer in my JKU as well with great results. with the FDII package and stus coils, you don't even gain an inch of lift. don't see the point. and they are wicked expensive. RRO products are NOT cheap. There are no aftermarket shocks and struts I know of for the pat besides monroes, which is not a bad thing, they rock on my JK.

well yes and no. they replaced the non FDII pats with a 6sp. and next year are replacing the Pat with the renegade. I think that is going to be a killer little rig too. I cant wait to drive one in trailhawk trim. I hope they dont' do what they did with the Cherokee and made it non liftable.

IF they never did that I think we would have had a Cherokee trailhawk.

Doesn't matter where it goes, its still a spacer lift, with that comes issues. RRO rips off others and advertises it as their own. If you can't afford to buy a full lift from Stu I'd stay stock
I have a pair of the RRO OTT spacers that completely destroyed the UBJ etc on a KJ , I've kept them around for 9 years just to show people who want to lift what junk parts look like and what they can do.
Have to admit they do make darn fine door stops though

I ran them for 100k with zero issues. I guess you had bad luck . No issues with anything on my pat when I had them.
