Miniature photos?

I saw some shots here a few weks ago in a thread where someone took shots of their rig that made the truck look like a mcro machine against the background, but now I can't find the thread. Anyone know how these shots are made?

I haven't seen the thread you speak of. But I do know of the filter you're talking about. Possibly the Split field filter?

In hardware these are usually done with a Tilt/Shift lens for an SLR.

tilt shift. that's it! thanks for clarifying. i thought it was split filter. Anywho. Check out this video. All done by stop motion / tilt shift. Guys got talent....and patience.
