Mitsubishi Montero gen 3 2002 limited.
Needs work.
Mileage is 160k
FWD all working as it should.

This was my daily driver until on longer runs i noticed it started to smoke a little so i stopped using it and took the car to my local garage who told me it probably needs a new head gasket as the exhaust as a sweet smell to it which is usually coolant leaking into the engine.
The car still runs and has never overheated since i have owned it.
I believe this was how the car was sold to me originally and since i only drive short distances to and from work i never really noticed it until it gradually got worse over time.
I would have probably scrapped this car by now if it wasn’t for the fact i spent over $800 on new tires and alignment right before it started smoking.
I did plan to do the head gasket myself but with kids and all there activity’s and little free time I just don’t have the time so thought i would try here first before i put it on Craigslist.
The good
Timing belt and water pump was done at 130k
No rust
New Brake pads all round
Bilstein rear shocks
New bosch alternator
New Falken wildpeak AT3 tires less than 200 miles on them.
Brand new spare tire.
The bad
Fault codes on the engine are P0421, P0443
Head gasket needs replacing.
Tear in the drivers seat.
Aerial doesn’t go Down
