Mitsubishi Parts in CA/SA?

I'm trying to plan a Pan America trip, I've been doing my research and I think a 1998 Montero is the vehicle for me. Before I left I'd take the time to rebuild the engine and whatever else I could, but I'm wondering should the unthinkable happen would I be able to find parts in Central and South America?

I'd check Mitsubishi.com for that and see what kind of dealer network they have in those countries even calling them to check if parts for Petrol engined Pajero's (using your specific engine displacement and engine management system) are readily available.
