Mitsubishi Pickup Spotted?

I'm at Disney with the family in Florida and while rolling into the park on the Disney bus I noticed what appeared to be a new Mitsubishi pickup in the parking lot. Is it possible they are testing in the U.S.?

Given how big a disaster every model is due to lack of investment in R&D, and continued ignorance of the US market, the idea of bringing a real SUV or truck to America seems like a big fantasy. While pickups and SUVs are the gravy choo, choo train the cost of getting those models rolling is high. They did sell a Dodge truck for a year or two with Mits on it a number of years back. There cheap and easy solution to not having a truck in the US, and was a failure of scale worse then even I predicted. They can keep throwing money away and losing dealers, or just stop what they are doing, invest 100 billion and launch 100% all new models they are well designed and return to the utilitarian and innovative roots that Americans will buy. Others have done it, though none had fallen nearly as far....

Looking for that thing i just had in my hand...
Was it the all new Triton or the previous (current) version?

Lloyd, They are currently are changing their entire line up. Here's to hoping something good is forced upon Mitsubishi North America from Japan, they claim the new Triton is a global platform.

Doubt if they were testing that the would do it at Disneyland...

Probably just one of the latest versions driven by a foreign visitor from south of the border or on vacation from somewhere on a 1 year entry. I've driven them in Haiti - not a bad vehicle in some ways.

Hadn't thought of the south of the border and didn't realize there was a one year provision. I saw the new BMW I8 in a sketchy neighborhood in Brooklyn before it was released so it's tough to say where someone will take a car that hasn't been released

Looks like Mexico gets the L200 and Montero Sport. I have to be honest though, the looks are so feminine and soft I dont know if they would sell here against the Xterra, Fourrunner, Rubicon, ect, ect...

L200 has 126HP!!!******? Is it the 1940's? 223hp for the Sport. The Fourunners 270HP engine is considered long outdated and under powered. It appears Mits is up to its same tricks in Mexico....

That's the 4 cylinder, the V6 is 220HP and the Pickups are not heavy like Monteros are. I think My Gen 1 pickup will haul *** with just the 3.Slow swapped in just because it's light.

They are slow as *******, anything past 80km/h and it feels like you're killing it to make them move faster! I had one for 2 weeks, bought it cheap to clean up and flip, it would feel underpowered compared to the petrol ones, and the acceleration is pretty leisurely, but they are workhorses, so the wheezy 2.5 is perfect for them if you're a farmer here making short trips on country roads with a trailer. They stink on long cruises though, because Its really hard to find an auto one, because people here still think that auto boxes are witchcraft

The new bubbly shaped ones are seriously different, they're certainly made for cruising
